Free Chair

I was walking towards my apartment one night when I noticed a white leather sofa in the dumpster. I lived on the third floor, and didn't ever really think about buying a sofa in an attempt to avoid hauling it up three flights of stairs, but mainly because I didn't want to spend the money on one. I undated my status on facebook offering $20 to anyone of my friends who would drive out past midnight to help me get it out of the dumpster, and haul it up the stairs. As I was circling my prize I noticed a shiny object pinned between the dumpster and the fence that surrounds it. A goldish velvet chair was carefully placed against the two objects. I took a close look at it and decided not to take any chances. I took it up to my apartment myself where it currently sits.

I have been thinking about what to do with it for a while now. It looks great in my bedroom, but I am no stranger to Craigslist. I pride myself on the fact that I can pretty much sell anything for a profit. So I had an idea.. I have been wanting to invest in real estate for a while now. I currently work as a designer/architect for my own firm but have always been fascinated with real estate. My life is a little crazy right now, and I don't necessarily have $15,000 in the bank to invest. OK, back to the idea: I was thinking about posting this on Craigslist with hopes on making a profit and investing that profit into something else. I would do this over and over again and hopefully one day get my condo. Sounds reasonable right? Well, maybe not.. I'm up for the challenge though.

I will post on here on a regular basis, everytime I post an item I will include a link to the ad, and everytime I sell an object I will post an entry on what I sold it for. Let's do this.
